DDS Medical Consultant - Temporary
The Vermont Disability Determination Services provides the medical eligibility decision for applicants filing for disability benefits under the Social Security Disability Program, the Supplemental Security Income Disability Program, and Medicaid disability. Medical consultants work independently and with the division's disability adjudicators to determine medical eligibility for disability applicants. Candidates must be in good standing and possess a Vermont medical license (M.D. or D.O.) prior to first day of work. Experience as general or family practitioner, pediatrician, or cardiology preferred. Program training and support is provided, and work is performed at the Disability Determination Office in Waterbury, VT. Telework is available.
