For those candidates who are sales-oriented and possess a ready-to-learn attitude, the CED Internship Program is designed to give candidates a working knowledge of our electrical wholesale industry. Throughout the Internship, candidates will be exposed to all aspects of the CED business model. Our program has a set schedule that will lead you through our warehouse, sales, and management operations. We prioritize getting to know our interns and helping them discover their interests through projects and mentorship. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, ready to grow their sales skills, and interested in learning about the large and growing electrical industry.

Opportunities are located throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, and New York.
 
REPORTS TO: Profit Center Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Current, valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Must be a self-starter who can handle a heavy volume of work and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Conditions vary based on the intern's current segment of the training and will include warehouse, office, and external environments. During some segments, activities will include lifting, sorting, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Learning all aspects of the CED business
  • Communicating – both written and spoken – in English.
