Engineering Lean and Continuous Improvement Co-Op Fall 2024

(Lean and Continuous Improvement)

 

Daily Responsibilities

 

  • Identify opportunities / initiatives to track to completion for improved efficiencies in all areas of manufacturing CNC milling, lathe, grinding, finishing, shipping, and coatings
  • Contribute to established larger company wide projects to drive improvements
  • Spend time engaging with employees on shop floor for opportunity and improvement ideas
  • Calculate Return on Investment and/or Project savings calculations for finance buy in
  • Openly communicate lessons learned, information, and best practices with appropriate teams for read across all facilities
  • Conduct After Action Reviews for lessons learned,

 

Training Requirements

 

  • Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies Value Stream Maps
  • Problem Solving Methods
  • Project Charters and Project Delivery Schedules
  • Maintaining RAIL (Rolling Action Item List)

 

Job Specifications

 

  • In pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering (all) or Manufacturing disciplines
  • Analytical skills, problem solving, conflict resolution
  • Computer skills, manufacturing software, MS office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills amongst all levels of the organization
  • Attention to detail, strong follow up skills
  • Be safe. follow all procedures and best practices
  • Sense of urgency, initiative
