This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

Duties

At the GS-04 level, you will:

• Perform routine laboratory testing or conduct routine aspects of field sampling or laboratory experiments.
• Perform routine cleaning of glassware, utensils, equipment, field instruments, work areas, etc.
• Assist in the performance of duties such as the collection of literature references and the organization of files.

At the GS-05 level, you will:

• Assist with data collection (such as water, plants, sediments, animals, etc.) from field (e.g. marshes, streams, or estuary) or set up and harvest cultures for experiments.
• Assist with laboratory sample processing and data collection.
• Data entry of data collected.
• Assist with preparation of samples for analyses.
• Review literature for assessment and information gathering.
