General Dynamics Electric Boat is looking for talented and creative professionals, recent graduates, and innovators to join our growing Engineering team!

Engineers with Electric Boat experience diverse benefits, lateral and professional growth opportunities, and the opportunity to work with first-of-a-kind ships for the Navy.

About Us:

General Dynamics Electric Boat has been designing and building submarines since 1899, beginning with USS Holland, the U.S. Navy's first commissioned undersea warship.

Over that time, the company has maintained its dedication to delivering the most capable submarines in the world by emphasizing technical excellence, innovation and responsiveness to customer requirements.

This emphasis enables Electric Boat to consistently develop and integrate complex systems and to deliver a long line of first-of-a-kind ships to the Navy.

While Electric Boat's primary focus is on submarines production, the company actively participates in markets adjacent to its core business, leveraging expertise and technical innovation to naval surface ship and commercial nuclear programs.

Columbia Class:

SSBNs are the most secure and survivable of our nation’s nuclear deterrent triad. Columbia SSBN’s will carry approximately 70 percent of the nation’s nuclear arsenal. The cost of maintaining the U.S. triad is three percent of the DoD budget. The cost to maintain the SSBN leg of the triad is one percent of the DoD budget.

Virginia Class:

Representing a revolution in advanced design and construction techniques and mission flexibility, Virginia-class submarines are providing the U.S. Navy with the capabilities it requires to maintain undersea superiority well into the 21st century. The Virginia class is the first U.S. Navy warship designed from the keel up for the full range of mission requirements in the post-Cold War era. Optimized for maximum technological and operational flexibility, these submarines will play a key role in the nation's defense with their stealth, firepower and unlimited endurance.
