Job Posting: Pharmacist I

San Quentin State Prison

Salary: $12,129.00 - $14,440.00 Per Month

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our San Quentin State Prison Health Care team. You will be an integral part of our mission, collaborating with colleagues to deliver the highest quality service.

 

Responsibilities:

- Prepare, manufacture, and dispense medications and pharmaceutical preparations

- Fill prescriptions and review patients' charts and medication regimens

- Participate in treatment team meetings

- Provide ongoing consultations to the treatment team and medical review committees

- Implement and maintain unit dose systems and ensure compliance with state and federal record-keeping requirements

- Assist in preparing estimates and requisitions for necessary drugs, sundries, and chemicals

- Provide or assist with in-service training and seminars as needed

 

Requirements:

- Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a licensed pharmacist issued by the State Board of Pharmacy.
