Job Title:                                 Administrative Support Intern

Department:                          Administration

Supervisor:                             City Administrator/Zoning Administrator

Positions Supervised:            None

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of administrative support duties to support the Administration Office.

Job Duties:

1.         Main Responsibility:

  1. Execute various administrative tasks such as filing, document processing, and record management to ensure smooth operations.
  2. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and equipment.
  • Exceptional customer service and public relations skills.
  • Ability to prioritize duties, work independently, and problem-solve.
  • Ability to present a positive and professional image of the City.
  • Ability to use computer and related software as well as other related office equipment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive material.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education or a recent graduate.
  • Previous experience in customer service.
  • Team Player.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Valid Class D driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in an office setting.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit for long periods.
  • Ability to hear and speak when conversing.
  • Ability to see and read reports, correspondence, computer screens, and other documents.
