2024-2025 Eversource and UNH Clean Energy Scholarship and Internship: ENGINEERING

Scholarship  

Eversource will pay $2,500 annually, paid in August, for the upcoming academic year

Internship

Each student selected for the UNH Clean Energy Scholarship & Internship, will participate in a 10-12 week paid internship at a Eversource NH facility.  In addition, the scholarship recipients will be allowed to work at an Eversource facility during those academic years, if their schedule permits. 

The UNH Clean Energy Scholarship & Internship program, sponsored by Eversource, is designed to provide students with financial assistance while providing an opportunity for career exploration, training, and a varied work experience. 

 

Engineering Internship opportunities in the following areas:

  • Protection & Controls Engineering
  • Substation Design Engineering
  • Substation Technical Engineering
  • Transmission Line Engineering
  • Distribution Engineering

Students will be assigned a mentor for development and coaching while working in their internship assignments. They will receive hands-on experience and training to prepare for future career opportunities in the energy and utility sector.

Deadline

Scholarship applications must be submitted thru Handshake by November 3, 2023, they will be reviewed on a rolling basis.  Applicants will interview with Eversource hiring managers for internships and then be notified if they are selected for Scholarship.

Criteria to Maintain Scholarship

Students must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.0.
