Brokerage & Sales Trading Intern - Renewable Energy

Karbone is looking for rising seniors for a full-time Summer internship.
Responsibilities:
- Work with full-time Desks to facilitate transactions for various classes of energy and environmental commodities across North America
- Commodity exposure includes Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), Carbon Credits, Renewable Fuels Credits (RINs and LCFS), Power, Capacity/Resource-Adequacy, Ancillary Services, and Sustainability Market Research
- Originate new leads and evaluate prospects for outreach
- Search for online databases to find potential new customers
- Assist with cold outreach to include communications over LinkedIn, email, and phone
- Support team with scheduling meetings and onboarding customers
- Play an active role in educating prospective clients on program specifics
- Analyze legislation, policy, and regulation impacting environmental markets
- Support the composition of research briefs and other content creation
Qualifications:
- Current student in economics, energy, environmental studies, finance, or related field; coursework in environmental markets and renewable energy a plus
- Professional interest in renewable energy markets and environmental markets
- Experience in a business development, sales, or external-facing role highly desired
- Polished written and verbal communication skills
