Strength and Conditioning Coach

Job Description

Speed, Agility, Strength and Conditioning facility is seeking a Trainer/Strength and Conditioning Coach to work with middle school, high school and college athletes.

Zelos Athletics seeks to enhance the athletic potential of individuals of all skill levels by providing cutting-edge fitness training in a fun, safe, and healthy environment. We aim to connect people to the solutions they need and provide individualized plans based on time-tested fundamentals and research in order to help people take control of their health and performance.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an individual with positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills with a desire and capacity to train all fitness levels.

In this role you will mostly be working with middle school, high school and college athletes in some or all of the following areas:

  • Running/implementing evaluations for athletes using, FusionSport/VALD SMARTSPEED & SMARTJUMP, and other tools
  • Working with our team to assist in running group personal training
  • Running Athlete Performance Training Sessions
  • Writing/implementing workouts for our athletes using the system we have in place
  • Plans and prepares written performance enhancement programs
  • Instructs, motivates, and assists athletes in a safe, legal, moral, ethical manner to achieve their goals
  • Updates training plan and/or reevaluates athletes as needed to ensure optimal outcome
  • Ensure all goals of the client are met
  • Act as a liaison between the client and Zelos Athletics
  • Performs all aspects of position held in a professional manner
  • Maintains professional credentials as required including attending necessary continuing education courses
  • Previous sales presentations and experience a plus
  • Maintenance and administrative duties
  • Flexible to work some morning, evening and/or weekend hours as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Perform basic physical requirements of this job such as frequent walking around and demonstrating and assisting with exercise movements; bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting are movements performed daily

Qualifications

  • Current certification from either the NSCA or CSCCA is preferred but not required
  • Background in an exercise or fitness related field is a benefit, but not required
  • CPR/AED certification required
  • 1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry
  • Proven excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to clients on how to improve their Fitness and Lifestyle habits to support their goals.

 

  • Must be able to use provided software for client accountability
  • Must be energetic, self-driven, motivated and works well in a team setting

Part time positions available with possibility of becoming full-time based.
