Material Science Support Internship Summer 2024

Reporting to the National Security Solutions manager, you will focus on workforce development and will be introduced to the fundamentals of material science research integrated with computer science applications. You will be provided an opportunity to develop applied skills in specimen measurement and preparation, optical and electron microscopy, metallography and basic mechanical testing over sequenced training blocks. The culmination of the training blocks will feed results into ongoing research at INL.

This team works a 9x80 schedule onsite at our EROB facility in Idaho Falls, ID.
