IT Specialist (NETWORK)
Participates in the design, development, implementation, maintenance and support in one or more of the major ITS hardware and/or software configurations within the Agency, including but not limited to: internet and/or intranet software application hosting; data exchanges inside and outside SSA's network; and electronic messaging, groupware and collaboration software. Participates in the maintenance of all change management system controls required to maintain those systems.
To qualify for this GS-12 level position, applicants must possess and demonstrate 52 weeks of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level (or above) in the federal service that is in or related to the work of the position filled and has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such IT-related experience must include:
- Using Microsoft Exchange Administration or Exchange Online
- Utilizing Microsoft SaaS solutions to conduct Exchange Hybrid deployments
- Troubleshooting the Microsoft Exchange Server, Exchange Online, or Microsoft Outlook
- Making deployments throughout the Development Lifecycle in order to analyze and troubleshoot software changes within the Microsoft Exchange Infrastructure.
