Postdoctoral Fellowship - Applied Molecular Biology
The Applied Molecular Biology Division at New England Biolabs invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow to establish and study DNA replication systems for in vitro amplification of very long DNA molecules. Successful candidates will have a strong interest in applied research as part of a multidisciplinary team at NEB.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Set up and characterize simple DNA replication systems, use biochemical and single molecule assays to study activities and replication of long molecules.
- Communicate developments to the scientific community through publication and presentation.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop applications for long DNA amplification.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- Experience with protein purification and molecular biology assays.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create innovative solutions to difficult scientific problems.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Background experience with DNA replication systems and enzymes.
- Publication of original scientific work in high-quality journals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and quickly adapt to change.
