Student Digital Experiences Intern with The Wolfsonian–FIU
The Wolfsonian–FIU is hiring a paid Development Intern for Spring 2025 as part of its Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)-supported initiative to open pathways to museum careers.
Working with the museum’s Digital Experiences department—a team entrusted with providing online access to the institution’s collection and with creating online and in-gallery digital content—the Intern will assist work on developing cutting-edge digital exhibitions, experimental digital engagements, and data management practices. The Intern will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of digital technology, data management, and museum practices.
The Digital Experiences Intern will:
- Assist in creating digital exhibitions, interactive experiences, and online content.
- Help manage and organize digital assets, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of queries for searching and retrieving data from digital collections.
- Support data migration projects, including the transfer and integration of data across systems.
- Have access to Wolfsonian student enrichment activities such as career roundtables, a resume/cover letter writing workshop, and beyond.
This internship is held in person at 1001 Washington Ave, Miami Beach 33139.
The largest of FIU’s three museums, The Wolfsonian is an art and design research center in South Beach with a collection of more than 200,000 items from the modern age (1850–1950).
