The Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH), under the umbrella of the State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a qualified individual to join our team, as a part-time Office Assistant (PCN 143816). This critical support position is necessary for ensuring the safety and welfare of clients, the continuity of patient care, and maintaining the regulatory body standards within the newly opened Star program in Middletown. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Assembling of the medical records
  • Routing incomplete records to the assigned clinical staff
  • Filing medical record reports/documentation in the patient's medical records
  • Scanning and assembling discharge documents for information to be available for use by clinical staff

Please note:

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Two (2) years of general clerical work experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED

College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one/half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of two (2) years.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with paper medical records.
  • Experience working in a Hospital Setting.
  • Experience utilizing Medical Terminology in a clerical position.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
