Business Improvement District Development Assistant

Job Title: Business Improvement District Development Assistant

Employment Type: Temporary, Part-Time (January – April 2025)
Location: Hybrid Remote and South Beach

Position Overview:
The Ocean Drive Association is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Improvement Development Assistant with a strong background in Public Relations and Communications to support our team during a critical four-month period. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving initiatives by creating compelling materials, coordinating in-person meetings, and assisting with campaign development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Presentation Creation: Develop professional PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate key messages and align with the organization’s brand.
  • Campaign Materials: Design and produce campaign pieces, including flyers, brochures, and digital assets, to support business improvement initiatives.
  • Meeting Coordination: Organize and facilitate in-person meetings, including scheduling, venue setup, and preparation of meeting materials.
  • Communication Support: Assist in crafting press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials as needed.
  • Project Management: Maintain timelines and track progress for various initiatives to ensure successful execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support engagement efforts with partners, clients, and other stakeholders by providing clear and professional communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or current major in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in creating presentations, campaign materials, and managing meeting logistics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, and familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to represent the organization in meetings and stakeholder interactions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours as required by project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on business or community projects.
  • Knowledge of local community and business landscapes.
