The company doesn’t throw a Christmas party, employees are required to do it. The benefits are expensive and cover hardly anything. It’s not a company that works for their employees.
Advice
Sodexo is a great part time job for college students but I don’t recommend it as a full time venture. I’m working here as an in to the hospital setting. You get to know lots of higher ups in the hospital and make lots of connections!

What I liked
I liked experimenting with different drinks and food items. It wasn't too busy, so I was able to create a lot of different things, which I can't do during the semester.
What I wish was different
I wish that there were more people on campus, especially student workers. Living at the university over the summer got to be pretty lonely.
Advice
Make sure to bring a book to your shift if you are working over the summer. Sometimes, you'll have rushes, so you won't be reading much; however, there were plenty of days that I read. Over last summer, I read 9 books.

Advice
Working at the Cafe can be a fun experience but is just like any other job. I would recommend doing the marketing internship that helps promote meal plans, and deals with events happening in the cafe.

Do not be afraid to get experience and internships right on your campus, it is right under you nose and it is so convenient. It is a great way to be active at school while also gain experience.
