Title: Office Manager / Tax Preparer

Pay: $18 per hour

Status: Part-Time / Full-Time

State Date: Immediately

 

Summary

Liberty Tax, a leader in professional tax service is looking for an Office Supervisor to oversee daily operations at one of our local offices. Our mission is to be trusted locally and respected nationally, providing top-tier tax and financial services that our clients can rely on. As an Office Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service and professionalism that Liberty Tax is known for, while fostering a welcoming and efficient office environment.

 

Responsibilities 

Team Leadership and Management: Supervise and manage office staff, including tax preparers, bookkeepers, and administrative personnel, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment. 

Operational Oversight: Oversee daily office operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax laws. Manage scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency. 

Customer Service Excellence: Uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service by ensuring all staff members are trained, knowledgeable, and ready to provide expert tax advice. 

Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff to ensure everyone is up to date with the latest tax laws and filing practices. 

Performance Monitoring: Monitor office performance against office goals. Implement strategies to improve productivity and client satisfaction. 

Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, reinforcing our reputation as trusted tax experts and contributing to client retention and acquisition. 

 

Qualifications 

Experience: Proven experience in office management, supervisory roles, or relevant positions, preferably in the tax preparation or financial services industry. 

Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proficient in MS Office. Assist with bookkeeping assignments.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field is preferred. 

Certifications: Eligibility to obtain or renew an IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). 

Personal Traits: A commitment to excellent customer service, ability to handle multiple tasks, and a strong ethical foundation in handling confidential information.
