Radiology Technologist
Position Summary:

We are seeking Radiology Techs to join us at the Brown University Health Urgent Care and Walk-in Clinics located in Barrington and Johnston, Rhode Island. Full—time opportunities available with three-day work weeks! 12-hour shifts and every other weekend required. Full benefits available. In this position you will perform a variety of technical radiographic procedures, apply prescribed radiation for radiologic diagnosis and perform clerical duties, along with some clinical tasks for which you will be trained on.
Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic exams using various equipment and anatomical positioning to produce optimum results and transfer the images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for physician review
- Develop relationships with patients and provide explanations of radiologic examinations and other clinical tasks that you may have performed.
- Answer phones and perform registration and checkout duties, including rooming patients and ensuring exam rooms are cleaned between each patient and set-up appropriately according to policy and procedures
- Schedule patients for radiologic examinations, place orders and track exams
- Perform required patient identification procedure on all patients presenting for a radiologic exam
- Provide coverage for the department as required. including weekends and holidays
Qualifications:
- Completion of formal training in an AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology or equivalent
- Current AART certification and licensed to work in the State of Rhode Island
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiology test procedures
- Experience providing care to patients of all ages
- AHA BLS certification
- 1+ years of experience as a Radiology Technician preferred but not required.
