Responsibilities:

• Provide appropriate safety and health, accident prevention, and investigation training
• Inspect work sites to assure safe and healthful conditions for workers
• Work with and educate employees regarding safe work practices (toolbox talks, presentations, etc.)
• Lead site crews in hazard identification, hazard mitigation, and safety practices
• Work effectively with management and cross functional teams
• Ability to run customer job site independently.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 months of relevant field experience
• Minimum OSHA 30 Construction / GI
• Strong working knowledge of Electrical Codes and best practices preferred
• Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) & MIOSHA
• Ability to work any shift and weekends
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and adjust priorities as needed
• OEM safety experience preferred (Specifically GM)
• Familiar with standard safety practices (incident investigation, pre-task plans, risk prevention, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong public speaker
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Strong computer skills)

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA 510/500 or 511/501 certification
• Certified Safety Professionals (CSP) a plus
• Health Safety Technician (CHST) a plus
• Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) a plus
• First Aid/AED/CPR certification
