Responsibilities:
- Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment
- Be punctual, dependable, organized, and efficient
- Teach using the provided curriculum and lesson plans
- Set student goals, motivate learners, and ensure a fun learning experience
- Track and support student progress with regular feedback
- Adapt to different learning styles using a variety of teaching methods
- Collaborate with students, families, and peers to meet class goals
- Share classroom insights to help improve curriculum and instruction
- Work independently and take initiative
- Stay in touch via phone or email as needed
Requirements:
- ASL teaching experience is a plus
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience strongly preferred
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using computers
- Quick-thinking, creative, and engaging teaching style
- Empathetic and able to adjust methods to fit student needs
- Comfortable teaching elementary to high school students
- Must be able to manage an in-person classroom setting
