Mammographer PRN

Are you passionate and dedicated to providing high quality care to the underserved? Then we have a spot for you. We are seeking a Mammographer with experience in general radiology and mammography to join our new Imaging Center on a per diem (as needed) basis. As part of our CARES-giver team, you will play a provide imaging services to our patients. 

Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do:

  • Prepare patients for radiologic and/or mammography procedures. Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed.
  • Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during scan.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination.
  • Take scans following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
  • Develop and process radiologic film.
  • Create superior patient experience.
  • Work with a diverse patient population in the heart of Dallas.

What you need to succeed

To become one of our CARES-givers, you will have excellent patient engagement, strong communication skills, and promote teamwork. You will also have the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates preferred
  • Current TX Radiologic Technologist licensure required, ARRT certification required.
  • Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology Technology and meets the MQSA guidelines
  • Current BLS certification
  • 1 years related experience, community health care experience preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Pashto, Rohinyga, or Burmese is a plus
  • Attention to detail and a have high sense of urgency.
  • Must display good judgment, maintains confidentiality, sound decision-making, and be able to work independently, as needed.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and display strong patient service skills.
