Job Description – Part-Time Student Opportunity at Stanford Nanofabrication Facility (SNF)
Position: Part-Time Research Assistant (Internship or Contract Hire)
Location: Stanford Nanofabrication Facility (SNF) – Stanford University
Company: NovaTech Innovations, a semiconductor R&D startup focused on III-Nitride materials and device engineering.
About the Role: NovaTech Innovations is seeking a motivated undergraduate or graduate student to join our team part-time at SNF. The student will gain hands-on experience in semiconductor materials research and device fabrication, contributing to cutting-edge projects in nitride epitaxy and optoelectronic device development.
Responsibilities:
• Work in SNF cleanroom facilities under guidance from NovaTech researchers
• Assist with epitaxial growth (MOCVD) processes
• Perform characterization measurements such as AFM, XRD
• Support device fabrication and processing tasks
• Maintain detailed lab notes and contribute to experiment documentation
Qualifications:
• Enrolled undergraduate or graduate student at Stanford University
• Interest in semiconductors, materials science, or related fields
• Previous cleanroom or semiconductor experience is preferred but not required (training will be provided) – Preference will be given to those whom are already trained on MOCVD, AFM, and XRD.
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently
