Internship Opportunity - Food, Wine & Spirits Team (NYC Office)

CURICH|WEISS, a marketing communications agency, is seeking an intern interested in learning the public relations field including: research and writing, planning and execution, and measurement and evaluation. It's essential that applicants to this position have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and are proactive and detail-oriented.

Role is based in NYC office three days a week  (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) for duration of internship. Hours are 9am ET through 6pm ET with a one-hour lunch break.

Responsibilities

·       Monitor all forms of media - traditional and social - and compile coverage reports under supervision

·       Conduct research to create and analyze potential PR initiatives

·       Draft press releases and other press materials as required

·       Assist with mailings and production of PR assets

·       Assist with set-up of event(s) and coordinate event logistics as directed

·       Compile and create / update databases under supervision

Qualifications

·       Strong communication skills and writing skills

·       Solid understanding of social media

·       Strict attention to detail and organizational skills

·       Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and other Office suite apps as well as Slack

·       Ability to prioritize and focus on multiple tasks in a fast-paced start-up environment

·       Responsive and flexible to a changing environment
