After-School Teacher
Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring After-School Teacher to lead fun, age-appropriate activities for young children. This role is perfect for college students pursuing education, child development, or related fields, or for anyone who enjoys working with kids in a positive and engaging setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with children through games, arts and crafts, music, stories, and outdoor play
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and positive classroom environment
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and rest time
- Assist with classroom setup, transitions, and cleanup
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to deliver a smooth daily schedule
- Be a role model for positive behavior, kindness, and cooperation
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Qualifications
Required:
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED (or working toward one)
- Enjoy working with children and being part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and able to commit to the full summer schedule
- Pass background check and fingerprinting required by Georgia Childcare Licensing
Preferred:
- Some experience working with children (babysitting, camp, church nursery, etc.)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation & Perks:
- Pay: $12–15/hour depending on experience
