Teacher's Assistant

New Horizons Charter Academy is seeking experienced teachers assistant K-8 to join in an exciting new charter school journey. Candidates should come with a passion for working with all students including the gifted, students with special needs, and English learners. They must have a knowledge of how to deepen student learning around integrated units of study. The candidates should understand and know how to use technology as a tool for all learning. They must want to be a part of a small, exciting learning community which includes active parent involvement. The goal of the school is for all students to be prepared to live as productive citizens in the 21st century. Classroom norms are kept at 20:1 at elementary grade levels and 25:1 at middle school. These norms allow the students to engage in a personalized, project-based approach for all students. This allows them to acquire the habits and skills to be lifelong learners in a diverse and changing world. English Learner Authorization required.
