Production and Office Internship

TITLE: INTERN (part-time)

Location: South Orange, NJ 

Salary:  $200 for three days in the office per week; Additional hourly pay ($35/HR) for onsite event work

Date:  January - May, start and end dates flexible based on semester schedule 


 

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY

Eventage is looking for an intern to help bring our events to life as part of our Production Department. As a Production Intern, you will assist in all parts of pre-production, from brainstorming to logistics. You’ll also get to experience the thrill of working on-site at a live event with our best-in-the-business team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Most pre-production work will take place in our warm and welcoming office, just minutes from the South Orange NJ Transit train station. On-site work varies per event, and may include heavy lifting, working in inclement weather, and early or late hours. Depending on your schedule, you may be asked to work events on the weekends. 


 

You will complete tasks such as:

  • Project Management (50%)
    • Join brainstorming sessions to help develop and create memorable experiences to feature at our events.
    • Research vendors, venues, and other pre-production information that might be needed
    • Contact vendors, venues, and other related third parties to get more information, arrange visits, or obtain price quotes.
    • Communicate with event volunteers or participants regarding fundraising and event details.
    • Order event supplies based on inventory lists
  • Administrative Responsibilities (25%)
    • Various Office management projects as needed, including database maintenance, supplies ordering, organization, and managing incoming and outgoing deliveries, among others
  • Event Activation (25%)
    • Loading  and unloading materials for events in either our warehouse or our clients’ warehouse spaces
    • On-site work can include: event site set up, on-site vendor communications, stage management assistance, crowd management, and other on-site duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: WHO YOU ARE

  • A candidate who can work 2-3 days per week, with 3 days being in the office
  • A self-starter who is eager to learn and comfortable asking questions
  • Someone who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong communication skills
  • Ideally, the candidate is in their Junior or Senior year of college
