Interim Director of Youth Ministries

Winnetka Congregational Church, a non-denominational Protestant Christian church on Chicago’s North Shore, is seeking a Part-time Interim Director of Youth Ministries for the 2025/2026 program year. We have an active membership of about 400 and an average Sunday attendance of about 100. In alignment with WCC’s values and beliefs, the Director of Youth Ministries will lead, develop, and oversee the youth ministry, including weekly gatherings, Bible studies, and outreach events focusing on middle and high school youth. This role reports to the Senior Pastor and is responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging environment where youth can connect with God, build meaningful relationships, and develop a heart for service. The Youth Pastor will work closely with church leadership, staff, and volunteers to align youth ministry efforts with the church’s vision. This role does not include confirmation which is led by Pastors and adult faith guides. 

If you have had experience with youth ministry and a proven ability to connect and mentor high school and middles school youth, this may be your gig.  Successful candidates will have excellent communication and administrative skills including using social media to connect with others.  We do require background check and safe church training upon hire.  This role does require working on Sundays at the church and off-sites with youth on weekend evenings.
