About the Role
Eminence Speaker is looking for an Associate Transducer Engineer to join our engineering team in
Kentucky. This is a position for recent graduates who want firsthand experience in designing and building
professional audio transducers. You will work directly with experienced engineers, learning loudspeaker
design while contributing to real products from day one.
Eminence Speaker was founded in 1966 in Eminence, Kentucky. Today Eminence is part of the global
B&C Speakers Group, headquartered in Florence, Italy.
What You'll Do
• Run electroacoustic testing using Klippel, NTI, and LMS measurement systems
• Document designs, test results, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing processes
• Work with engineering manager to understand customer requirements and translate them into
functional transducer designs
• Create and modify mechanical designs in SolidWorks
• Develop and design woofers and compression drivers for numerous applications
• Learn existing product designs and manufacturing processes
• Support manufacturing through process development, production design, and troubleshooting on
the factory floor
• Interact with engineering, R&D, quality, and supply chain of the B&C Speakers Group
• Ask questions and bring fresh perspective to help build Eminence’s future
What You Need to Be Successful
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, chemical
engineering, acoustics, industrial engineering, or related technical field
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles
• Ability to learn computerized test equipment and create test reports
• Familiarity with technical documentation and basic statistical data analysis techniques
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment to proactively identify and solve problems
• Willingness to learn loudspeaker transducer design from practitioners, without a formal
curriculum, in a self-directed manner
• Strong written skills for coordinating with staW, engineering, vendors, and customers
Bonus Points if You Have
• Internship or co-op experience in any engineering environment with demonstrated on-the-job
learning. This does not need to be audio related
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D parametric CAD software
• Experience with a computer scripting language (Python / Jupyter, Lua, R,
• Arduino C, etc.)
• Exposure to FEA, FDM, BEM, or other numerical methods for simulation
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturing principles, GD&T, or Design of Experiments
• Experience with 5S, quality management systems (QMS), or ERP systems
• Exposure to process engineering concepts or manufacturing optimization
• Experience with project management (e.g., Wrike) and relational database spreadsheet tools (e.g.,
MS Access, Airtable)
• Interest in modernizing engineering workflows, process design, and data collection
• Firsthand experience building, repairing, or measuring electronics. Audio examples include
speakers, tube amps, headphone amplifiers, musical eWects, synthesizers, or ham radio
What Makes You Eligible
• Willingness to work onsite in Eminence, Kentucky (approximately 45 minutes east of Louisville)
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with daily interaction between engineering,
production, quality, and supply chain
• Successfully complete background check as condition of employment
