Commercial Drywall Project Engineer

The position being offered is a full time Project Engineer / Estimator position in our Albany, NY office, with travel to areas we service in NY state.
The successful candidate will be responsible for project management of various commercial drywall and acoustic ceiling projects, including: submittals, pricing, scheduling and updates, monitoring costs and production.
The minimum requirements include:
- Basic knowledge of Commercial Construction Practices including Light Gauge Metal Framing, Drywall and Taping
- Ability to work and function in a fast-paced environment.
- One year or equivalent experience in Project Management of commercial drywall construction projects or equivalent skill is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills, including use of iPad and proficient with Outlook, Procore, Windows, Excel, Word, ect
- Ability to read and correctly interpret drawings and details
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Duties consist of assisting with:
- Assisting with managing all aspects of assigned projects including, but not limited to: attending weekly job meetings, project site visits, engage in problem and dispute resolution, issuing purchase orders and coordinate deliveries, monitor field production
- Review, update and approve project costs
- Compile, submit and track Submittals, Shop Drawings, and Change Orders
- Maintain excellent relationships with Clients
