Job Title: Water Aerobics Instructor (Evenings & Mondays), Jim & Heather Gills Branch

Description: The Jim & Heather Gills YMCA in St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a dynamic Water Aerobics Instructor to lead engaging water exercise classes. This role focuses on instructing participants using proper form and technique to promote fitness in a fun and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work evenings & Mondays.
  • Current certification in aerobics and/or water aerobics, or prior experience leading water aerobics classes.
  • CPR/AED/Oxygen Administration certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives.
  • A natural ability to build rapport and inspire others.
  • Commitment to upholding the YMCA's core values.
  • Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug test.

Pay & Perks: $22-$25 per class, based on experience. Free individual YMCA membership and discount for family.

Work Location: Jim & Heather Gills YMCA, 3200 1st Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33712.

*Level 2 background clearance and 10-panel drug test required.
