Mountain Resort Cook

Harmels on the Taylor is looking for experienced line cooks for our on-site restaurant, Bites & Brews on the Taylor. We are looking for someone who is a team player and has at least one year of experience in the restaurant industry. Line cooks will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Special/Catered Events. The line cook should have knowledge of health codes and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. They will act in a cleanly manner and help maintain a clean and organized kitchen. They must also be a hard worker, have good listening skills, the ability to adapt quickly to hard situations and remain calm under pressure. Applicants must live in the Gunnison Valley or are willing to relocate to the property for work. 

      Our restaurant is located in the Taylor Canyon in the beautiful Gunnison Valley on a mountain cabin resort. Our restaurant is newly opened after a period of renovations following a change in ownership and would be a great learning experience for anyone looking into resort management or starting a new restaurant. We serve meals that match the mountain experience that the resort provides.  

      In addition to our restaurant and saloon, our resort consists of 40 cabins, gold metal private fly-fishing waters, trail horseback riding, and a general store. 

      We offer competitive wages for all positions and possible bunkhouse housing available for those who are 18+. Team members enjoy discounts on food, sundries, and fishing gear. They also have access to enjoy the various amenities on property like an employee hot tub, game room, summer events, and fly fishing private gold metal waters. Not to mention being in the backyard of some of the best outdoor recreation areas of the state. These positions will be available from May - October 2026. Part time and full time positions are available.
