Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
To provide direct patient care under the Occupational Therapy, coordinate/cooperate with assigned supportive personnel; assist with discharge planning, document pertinent information with Occupational Therapist supervision, communicate with staff, patients and schools, participate in educational activities, and perform special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
License or Certification:
Must possess current Alabama state license or certification on or before the first day of employment; CPR certification, Auto Insurance, and Driver License
Graduate of an accredited program for occupational therapy assistants. Licensed to practice in the state of Alabama.
Physical Requirements:
Good visual acuity and ability to communicate
Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds of medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements
