Behavior Analyst Trainee

At Developmental Specialty Partners, we provide interdisciplinary, ABA-led services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. Our model emphasizes early intervention, individualized programming, and collaboration across behavior analysis, speech therapy, and child psychiatry to support meaningful, developmentally appropriate outcomes.

This role is designed for individuals who are actively enrolled in or recently completed a master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis and are accruing supervised fieldwork hours toward BCBA certification. The Behavior Analyst in Training  role supports the transition from direct service to clinical leadership by providing structured opportunities to develop skills in case supervision, program development, and clinical decision-making under BCBA oversight.

This position reports to the assigned supervising BCBA and is structured to support progress toward independent practice.

What You’ll Do

  • Update client goals and treatment programs using DSP’s electronic data and documentation systems
  • Provide direct supervision and clinical support to Behavior Technicians / RBTs
  • Participate in ongoing clinical training to strengthen assessment, programming, and supervision skills
  • Develop and update Behavior Intervention Plans based on assessment data and clinical judgment
  • Meet with families to provide treatment guidance, parent training, and ongoing collaboration
  • Conduct and contribute to assessment and reassessment reports for new and existing clients, with training provided on DSP-approved assessment tools
  • Receive regular coaching, feedback, and supervision from supervising BCBAs
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with Speech-Language Pathologists and Child Psychiatry providers
  • Provide direct client services as needed based on clinic and program requirements

 

Who You Are

  • Enrolled in or recently completed a master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field
  • Demonstrates strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Builds rapport and trust with families in a clinical setting
  • Demonstrates developing skills in case conceptualization, treatment planning, and clinical writing
  • Demonstrates emerging skills in coaching and supervising Behavior Technicians / RBTs
