Marketing and Communication Manager

Position Summary

 

The Marketing & Communications Manager drives the planning, creation, and execution of all marketing and communicaiton across events, research, education, and advocacy. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role for someone who blends creativity with precision—crafting compelling messages, selecting the right channels, and timing communications for maximum impact. From email campaigns and WhatsApp updates to LinkedIn posts and social content, you will manage the full member engagement journey, coordinate with agencies and freelancers, and ensure every touchpoint strengthens relationships, inspires participation, and reinforces our brand.


Reporting Relationship

 

This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer. FBCG is run by a small friendly and highly motivated team. Each member can make a difference in enriching the output and raising FBCG’s profile.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Marketing Strategy & Calendar: Develop and maintain annual marketing strategy and calendar, coordinating campaign timelines across departments for cohesion.


Member Engagement: Map and refine the membership journey, ensuring every touchpoint has the right messaging, collateral, and channel.


Database Management: Maintain and segment member database; ensure accurate targeting for campaigns across email, WhatsApp, SMS, and LinkedIn.


Campaign Execution: Create, design, schedule, and deploy multi-channel campaigns including mailers, newsletters, social media posts, and WhatsApp content.


Social Media Management: Manage content posting, moderation, and engagement on LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and other relevant channels.


Content Creation & Copywriting: Write brand-aligned copy for emails, social media, newsletters, press releases, and campaigns; support design and production of visuals.


Agency & Freelancer Oversight: Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, and designers to deliver high-quality creative content and videos.


Press & Thought Leadership: Support drafting press releases, research briefs, and advocacy content for members and external stakeholders.


Performance Tracking: Monitor campaign metrics (open rates, clicks, conversions, engagement) and iterate campaigns based on performance insights.


Campaign Planning & Messaging Cadence: Plan “what to send, when, to whom, and how” to maximize member engagement and visibility of programs.


Competencies and skills

 

Strong written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail
Creative mindset with ability to oversee design and messaging quality
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email marketing platforms, social media tools, and CRMs
Passionate about community-building and human-centered storytelling
Highly customer-centric and audience-aware, with a strong sense of what resonates with different segments


Requirements

 

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
2–5 years’ experience in marketing, campaign management, or communications
Experience in a member-based or community-driven organization is a plus


Expected Travel

Regionally: 1-2 times a quarter for a duration of 1-2 days
Globally: 1-2 times a year for a duration of 2-3 days
