Ending the Silence Presenter
Ending the Silence is a NAMI nation-wide initiative for middle and high school students. The engaging presentation includes a PowerPoint, videos, activities and personal recovery stories to help students learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions and what steps to take if they or a loved one may need help.
The program is delivered in a small group setting by a trained two-person team who have each been affected by a mental health concern themselves or have a loved one with a mental health condition. A primary goal of this program is to create a generation of students who no longer see mental illness as something to be ashamed of, but rather a health condition that can be treated. We want to empower youth to use their voices and end the stigma around mental illness!
I am looking for candidates who are willing to be a part of this initiative to stop the stigma and share your mental health story with local youth.
