Position Summary
Woodruff Scout Camp is seeking a highly organized, service-driven Chief of Customer Care to lead guest services and troop support operations for Summer 2026. This role is a key member of the camp leadership team and plays an essential part in ensuring every unit has a smooth, welcoming, and well-supported experience from pre-camp preparation through camp departure.
The Chief of Customer Care works closely with camp leadership and program departments to support communication, registration systems, customer service processes, and overall camper and leader satisfaction. This position is an excellent fit for students or young professionals pursuing Retail Management, Hospitality, Tourism, Business, Communications, or Customer Experience fields.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for troop leaders and camp guests throughout the summer
Support pre-camp communication, troop readiness, and arrival preparation
Assist with camp check-in/check-out support and guest experience coordination
Help manage camp administrative systems related to rosters, scheduling, and participant support
Support advancement processes and end-of-week reporting coordination
Maintain strong communication between camp departments to resolve issues quickly and professionally
Support guest feedback systems and customer service improvement efforts
Help oversee Lost & Found procedures and follow-up communication
Promote a positive camp culture through professionalism, friendliness, and leadership
Qualifications
Required
Strong communication skills and customer service mindset
Highly organized with attention to detail
Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with youth, adult leaders, and staff teams
Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and respectfully
Willingness to follow Scouting America Youth Protection, safety, and camp policies
Preferred
Experience in hospitality, retail, guest services, customer care, or camp operations
Familiarity with registration or scheduling systems (ex: Tentaroo or similar platforms)
Leadership experience supervising peers or supporting a team environment
