Our shift to a staff-driven Market Day structure will hopefully allow the Market to sustainably operate year-to-year. - A description of why you want to work at the Market!This is a 1099 hourly position reporting directly to the Board Chairperson of the Market Operations Committee (MOC), but working under the direction of the Market Manager on Market Day. It is expected that this role will require 5.25 hours a week during the Market season May through the end of October.
Compensation is $15/hour. This role can be shared by multiple people.
- This role takes place from 8 am-1:15 pm on Saturdays and involves setting up, assisting with Information Tent responsibilities, and tearing down the Market.
- This role requires regular lifting of up to 50lbs during the Market Day.
- During the Market Day, the role assists customers with SNAP transactions, answering questions and collecting feedback, signing customers up for the newsletter, distributing Kids Bucks, refilling water, collecting trash, and completing customer counts.
- Assist Market and Associate Managers with enforcing vendor policies (especially parking and arrival times) during the Market Day.
