Electrical Engineering Intern

FreeAxez is seeking an energetic, organized and results-focused intern to join our team in the Delran office. The internship will pay $16-$20 per hour and can provide academic credit, if applicable. The internship offers valuable, real-world experience with an opportunity to work on architectural projects for Fortune 50 organizations, all branches of the military and as well as schools and universities. Watch this brief video to hear from some of our past interns about their experience at FreeAxez.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare drawings and details using AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks
• Create electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Develops sketches to accompany concept documentation.
• Perform electrical tests and measurements to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Conduct research and gather data to support engineering analysis and decision-making processes.
• Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components.
• Assist in the coordination and communication with suppliers and vendors.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols in all engineering activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
• Document and report project progress, challenges, and outcomes to supervisors.
• Learn and apply engineering software tools for analysis, and design (such as Bluebeam Revu)
• Work with in-house staff to ensure that the design documents being produced are correct per applicable codes, company standards and the clients' wishes.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or holding an associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic foundation in electrical principles and concepts.
• Interested in the electrical engineering industry.
• Familiar with BIM modelling software, such as Revit; and software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Embraces the latest technologies to improve performance and sustainability.
• Works productively and meets deadlines timely.
• Communicates and interacts effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
• Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork    
• Has the ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment.
