PhD Physicist for Beamline Experiment Data Structuring

Responsibilities:
 

PhD Physicist for Beamline Experiment Data Structuring (JSON / ISAAC Schema)

We are seeking a PhD-level physicist with experience in beamline experiments and strong familiarity with data structures (particularly JSON) to design and generate structured outputs.

Scope of Work

The contractor will:

• Interpret beamline experiment notebooks and associated logbooks
• Produce structured JSON outputs aligned to the ISAAC record format
• Ensure accurate mapping between experimental scans and metadata context
• Implement a strategy for linking related experiments across records

Key Requirements

• PhD in Physics or closely related field
• Direct experience with synchrotron or beamline experiments
• Strong understanding of hierarchical data formats, especially JSON
• Ability to translate experimental conditions into structured schemas
