Project Manager Intern

Job Title: Project Manager Intern (Civil Engineering / Construction Management)
Location: Pewaukee, WI
Schedule: Part-Time / Full-Time Internship (Flexible with School Schedule)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager Intern to support our Sales and Project Management team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world construction and civil projects, providing the opportunity to learn the full project lifecycle—from pre-construction planning to field execution. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable in both office and field environments, and interested in building a career in construction or civil engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a Sophomore or higher in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related program
  • Strong interest in project management, construction operations, and fieldwork
  • Basic understanding of construction documents, drawings, or site plans (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in both office and outdoor jobsite environments
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales Project Managers with project planning and coordination
  • Perform plan takeoffs and quantity measurements from construction drawings
  • Support project staking and layout activities in the field
  • Attend and participate in jobsite meetings with crews, foremen, and project managers
  • Help track project progress, schedules, and documentation
  • Assist with preparing proposals, bids, and project reports
  • Coordinate materials, deliveries, and basic scheduling support
  • Maintain organized project files and records
