Manufacturing Engineer Technologist

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer Technologist supports manufacturing operations by assisting with process/production development, production support, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals beginning their careers in manufacturing engineering technology.

Under the guidance of supervisors, the technologist will gain hands-on experience working with production equipment, troubleshooting processes, collecting data, and supporting improvements to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup, monitoring, and improvement of manufacturing processes and production lines
  • Help troubleshoot basic equipment and process issues on the shop floor
  • Prepare and update work instructions, process documentation, and standard procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement and manufacturing projects
  • Support new product introductions and process changes
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operational guidelines

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field (or in progress)
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems
  • Ability to read technical drawings and process documentation
  • Strong interest in hands-on manufacturing and process improvement
  • Internship, co-op, or lab experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of CAD(Autodesk) software and CAM.
  • PLC and some robotic programing.
  • CNC and 3D printing knowledge.
