Grove Atlantic Summer 2026 Publicity Internship

Grove Atlantic Summer 2026 Publicity Internship

Position Description
The Publicity department is excited to offer a paid, in-person internship for those passionate about books and eager to learn more about publishing and book publicity campaigns. Interns will be responsible for drafting galley letters and press materials, organizing book mailings to media and helping with other aspects of general departmental organization. There will also be an opportunity to research media outlets, organize and circulate press clippings, and assist with book award submissions. Interns can expect to learn how a book is launched into the world, from its early stages as a galley to its appearance on bookstore shelves and in magazine pages.

Qualifications
Interns must have excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrate professionalism, as well as be task- and detail-oriented with an ability to start and finish projects assigned to them on time with a high level of personal organization. Interns should be self-starters, have an ability and willingness to tackle any task at hand, be adaptable to rearranging priorities in a high-paced environment, and have an interest in the publishing industry, preferably in publicity.

Time Period and Compensation

The intern must be available to come into our New York City offices at least two days a week (preferably Mondays and Thursdays) with a third day that can be remote if preferred. The internship will last approximately six months (early April - October) and will be paid $20 an hour.
