HR Intern

Job Purpose:

Priority is seeking an HR Intern who will learn how our HR Team provides guidance and support to our rapidly growing Team, located at our Clinton Township, MI headquarters and other worksites across Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.

The HR Intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in various areas of human resources.

This internship is designed for an individual looking to kick-start their career in human resources, applying their education to a dynamic, fast-paced career setting. The evaluation following this full-time internship may lead to an offer for a permanent position. It is preferred for Interns to be heading into their Junior or Senior year in their degree program, to be considered for permanent placement immediately following their internship. 

 

Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to: 

  • Talent Acquisition: post jobs, source and screen candidates, schedule interviews, draft offer letters, work in applicant tracking system, complete pre-employment checks
  • Onboarding: involvement with new employee orientation, related administrative functions
  • Payroll: assist with weekly time and attendance reports/audits
  • Employee Life Cycle: maintain electronic employee files, process employee changes
  • Understand HR FAQ’s, company handbook, & other policies/procedures; guide employees accordingly
  • General administrative support (draft memos, code invoices, various reporting)
  • Involvement in HR audits and projects
