Field Technician
We are seeking field technicians to assist with Bison and Elk Grazing Habitat Monitoring and Research duties at the Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado. Duties will include plant identification; measuring vegetation traits (height, flower counts, nitrogen content, and biomass); soil collection; pollinator collections; passive acoustic monitoring of birds and amphibians; and camera-trap data collection. The job will be primarily outdoors, requiring the ability to work with others, a flexible schedule, and the ability to hike and work in a variety of environmental conditions (e.g., rain, extreme heat, high elevations, and riparian areas). Field technicians may also assist with office duties, such as sorting, organizing, labeling, and entering data into spreadsheets and databases.
