Emergency Planning Intern, Chelsea, MA
The MWRA, Office of Planning has one opening for a summer internship to assist emergency planning staff with updates to emergency plans and procedures and maintaining readiness for emergency response.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Emergency Planning staff with the development, updates and distribution of emergency response plans.
  • Assist Emergency Planning staff with the MWRA Unmanned Aerial Systems ('drone') Program by helping to maintain equipment, catalogue images and document projects.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least two years of college in an accredited degree program
  • A demonstrated interest in emergency management or a closely related field.
  • Familiarity computers, Word, Excel
  • A driver's license
Supervision Received:
  • Works under the general supervision of a department Program Manager.

  • Work Location: MWRA, 2 Griffin Way, Chelsea, Massachusetts
  • Compensation: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour based on education level
  • Internship duration: May - August
