Salary Range: $53,623 to $84,347 per year with promotion potential to the GS-11

Duties: Responsible for all aspects of the (WH&B) Program satellite adoption events as assigned. Responsibility includes selecting satellite locations (stockyards, fairgrounds and equestrian facilities), execution of facility use agreements, adopter screening, conducting satellites and working with state veterinarians relative to livestock health issues.

Responsible for post wild horse and burro satellite activity which includes data-entry into a variety of computer programs, reporting adoption results, file management, typing correspondence, responding to animal care complaints, conducting compliance inspections, and repossessing adopted wild horses and burros when necessary.

Responsible for maintaining cooperative relationships with user groups, government officials, and professional interest groups, such as humane organizations.

Recommending long range goals, objective and policies; assisting in the development of program priorities; and providing program coordination and development.

Qualifications:
For GS-09: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-07, in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience evaluating, loading, sorting, and haltering WH&B; experience independently conducting WH&B compliance inspections; communicating with a variety of individuals and groups both verbally and in writing on topics related to the WH&B programs; proficient in paper and digital record-keeping, and use of an array of computer programs and applications.

Qualify based on education: master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related

For GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-09, in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience with the WH&B operations to handle work assignments related to every aspect of the program, including resolving complex compliance issues, involved with major duties of WHB adoption events, handling and training WHB, and communicating with individuals or groups.

Qualify based on education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
