Qualifications:
Bachelor of Geomatics
Internship in Surveying OR classes in Surveying
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Communicate with the client and project team to understand the goals, challenges, schedule, budget, and expectations of the project
• Plan the project workflow prior to starting the project including budgeting and scheduling
• Conduct research to obtain the appropriate public/private land records, survey control point data, and other pertinent information from various sources for boundaries, location, topographical surveys, location of right of way, and utility locations
• Operate total station, level, GPS receiver, and data collectors in performance of field surveys
• Calculate points based on the data provided
• Establish and set points and offset on-construction stakeout projects
• Create sketches and records measurements to indicate exact location of horizontal and vertical control points
• Perform office functions including computations, filing, and retrieving prints
• Work in a team environment and on occasion also be willing to work independently
• Conduct proper research to aid in collection of field data
• Follow prescribed safety practices for land surveying
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to import point data and manipulation
• Process GPS Static data
• Run a survey crew efficiently
