Associate Instructional Systems Designer

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Instructional Systems Designer, this position will be located at our Space Sector in Roy, UT.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s
Strategic Deterrent Systems Division under the Training Systems Team (TST). Provide Instructional Systems design support to the TST Training Services Lead for program design, development, and delivery of training courseware, curriculum, and related services. 

Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

Qualifications

:Basic Qualifications: 
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
  • Be completing or has completed their degree Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Be majoring in Psychology, Instructional Technology, Educational Studies, Curriculum and Instruction, or a closely related major.
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile).
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
  • Have basic functionality in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 or higher
  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
  • Good presentation and writing/communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups.
  • Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.
  • Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch.
