Restaurant Management Intern - Interviews 4/9/21
Wentworth by the Sea, a Marriott Hotel and Spa is accepting applications for up to three positions of Restaurant Management Intern.
This internship offers a focus on the development of leadership and management skills within the operation of a high-volume Food & Beverage Outlet in a full-service hotel setting.
Responsibilities will include things such as:
· Day-to-Day operation and management of a food and beverage outlet, including organizing stations and side work, reservations and pre-meal meeting.
· Direct leadership of all service staff to meet established service and quality standards as well as labor and other cost and revenue goals.
· Motivation, development and support of service staff, including on-going training along with consistent and constructive coaching and counseling for performance that fosters a team spirit.
· Maintenance of a safe, positive work environment.
Activities to include/involve:
Day to day running a shift (opening, closing, etc.)
Service Standard training/maintenance/auditing
Hands on training of hourly associates
Assist in hiring process
Assist in scheduling associates
Assist in coaching/documentation for performance improvement
Assist in inventory/ordering processes
Exposure to payroll process
Exposure to cost management
Guest relations/issue resolution
Safety Program Training and Maintenance
Availability commitment to work full time (5 days/approx. 40 hours per week) from at least mid-May until mid-August and then part-time weekends through Labor Day weekend.
